Everyone in the Saratoga Springs area will have a new place to help stay in shape and keep eating healthy. Healthy Living Market and Cafe, an independently owned natural foods market, will be opening in the Wilton Mall in early 2013. Healthy Living Market will offer a variety of local, organic, and natural groceries. The Cafe will allow people to dine in or take out and you can buy wines at Divine Wines, inside of Healthy Living Market. I wanted to find out more about the new natural foods market and asked the owner, Katy Lesser, ten questions about her new store.....
Everyone that is a fan of sweets will have another place to get their sugar fix when Kilwins opens on Broadway in Saratoga. The new sweet shop will offer all sorts of chocolate, ice cream, taffy and candy-coated apples. Construction on the eventual store site is expected to start soon at 420 Broadway, next to Lilliian's Restaurant. The store is not expected to be completed for another year, but I was able to ask the store's owner, Bill Hoffman, a few questions about the new sweet shop.

Who else is ready to start drinking like you're in Germany at the upcoming Oktobeerfest! I know I can't wait to start drinking German craft beers out of "das boots" and eat large amounts of German cuisine. The weather has not been spectacular over the last couple weeks and I needed to know how to be ready to have the best possible time. I talked to the event organizer, Garth Ellms, to find out how I should prepare myself for Oktobeerfest this Saturday, October 13....

As part of the 'Great Places in America' program, the American Planning Association, APA, has compiled a list of 'America's 10 Great Streets for 2012' and Saratoga's Broadway has been named among the top streets in the country!

The 'Greatest Streets In America' list recognizes streets that feature 'unique and authentic characteristics that have evolved from years of thoughtful and deliberate planning.'

The Saratoga Children's Theater recently received great news and will be getting the opportunity to perform at the 2nd Annual Beekman Street Art Fair!

Saratoga Springs has always been a fun place to go to just get out of the house and go do stuff. I'm not the only one though, a fun travel website, TravelOrMove.com, named the Spa City among the top "super cool" cities in the world out of 60 locations.

Imagine visiting old Las Vegas with Sinatra-era music, Hollywood celebrities and giant lighted Vegas wheels, but you only have to go to Saratoga to see it all! The Saratoga Casino and Raceway and Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) are working together to bring the first-ever "Vintage Vegas" fundraiser for SPAC.

Saratogians don't need to get annoyed at having to drive on Route 9 to go to Barnes and Noble in Wilton to pick out a new book anymore. A new bookstore is opening in the new four-story mixed-use building being built in the parking lot next to Lillian's restaurant on Broadway.
