It's the most wonderful time of the year! The 8th Annual Saratoga County Restaurant Week kicks off tomorrow, offering 3-course meals at the finest local restaurants, for less!

Twice a year, the Saratoga Convention & Tourism Board organizes a week where locals can experience and thoroughly enjoy local restaurants without worrying about the cost ... and this year has something new in store, making the deal even better!

Diners can now enjoy more meal options, choosing how much they wish to spend.

The Pacific Grill located on Putnam St. is now under new management and a new name. Larry Zhao and Leo Yan grew up together in southern China and have bought the retired Jeff Chen's Pacific Grill. The co-owners are bringing their 25 years of restaurant experience to Saratoga Springs and are renovating their restaurant project by project.

In the Pacific Grill's place will be the Izumi Sushi Asian Bistro and Lounge. The Japanese restaurant offers a large quadruple-fold menu filled with fresh and healthy ingredients. "Japanese meals are made from fresh, healthy ingredients," Zhao said. "So we serve light, delicious food."

Jodi Brimhall, a Ballston Spa Senior High School teacher, is gathering supplies and donations for elementary school students in Coney Island. The elementary school where her cousin, Stephanie Warner, is a teacher was completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy, and the students are now living in either shelters or their flooded out homes. 

Want to help out the victims of Hurricane Sandy along the Atlantic coast? There are many businesses that will be collecting donations to aid the victims in the New York City and New Jersey area. The relief effort will be going on until Tuesday, November 6th. Drop off times will vary by location too.

For years First Night Saratoga has been the region's largest New Years party with art, open houses, music and much more! The celebration just got that much better. For the first time ever First Night Saratoga will be a GE Kids In Free event, offering children 12 and under free admission!
