Right now, you’re probably planning your Thanksgiving feast, putting off your holiday shopping, and inevitably dreaming of the moments after the hectic holiday season when you can relax, enjoy the winter, and eat chowder. At least that’s what I’m doing, now that the 2014 Chowderfest has been announced!
The annual foodie event, which occurs at the end of Saratoga Winterfest, is slated for February 1st, 2014 from 11am to 4pm. The Saratoga Convention & Tourism Bureau always brightens the long Saratoga winters with this ever-popular event where local restaurants cook up their best chowders for the public to taste.
A new addition, the Chowder Hat Contest, is in the works for this year’s event. We’re thinking this competition will play off the traditional fancy hats worn at the Saratoga Race Course but with a chowder twist, of course.
