cincoderby.jpgThis Saturday, May 5, two annual events converge and create a perfect reason to get out and have a good time with friends and family. The 138th running of the Kentucky Derby goes off on Saturday at about 6:24pm, and will prove to be an exciting first leg of the Triple Crown. Every year on May 5, Americans rally to celebrate the heritage and pride of our Mexican neighbors, always a good time!

When two events like this occur on the same day, and that day happens to be a Saturday, there is sure to be some celebration. Saratoga Springs won't let you down; the calendar is full of events!

What inspired you to want to open a brewpub in Saratoga?

My brothers and I have been brewing craft beer out of my garage and visiting brew pubs throughout the US for a number of years, so the dream of owning a brew pub has been something that we have shared for quite some time. A few years ago, when the economy began to sink and my brother lost his job as a pension analyst, we began talking about acting on our dream and launching our own brand of beer. My brothers and I have lived in Saratoga for over 30 years and couldn't think of a better place to introduce our brand.

As a "thirty-something" living in the Saratoga area, the nightlife on Caroline Street can be a little intimidating.
Everywhere you look, there are college students and younger locals bouncing from bar to bar, looking for the hottest club or bar.

Sometimes, when I visit these same clubs, I find myself wondering, "What IS this music? Gosh, am I really getting that old?"

For those of you who have maybe felt the same, I bring you hope this season.

The Metro is coming back. Better than ever.
