The Schuylerville Public Library is now offering one of the only preschool programs in Schuylerville called “Counting Down to Kindergarten,” and it’s a completely free program! Here are the details and how you can register your child.
This free preschool program at the library is a 16-week program that begins on January 9th at 11:30am. It’s open to ages three to five, and registration will remain open for the duration of the program.
As one might imagine, this program has a large emphasis on literary skills to set children up for academic success in the future. There will be storytime with songs and stations for children to explore. The group will work on things like letter recognition, counting, matching, sorting and categorizing skills, and art and fine motor skills; there will also be a social and dramatic play area.
Jenny Edwards will be the teacher – Edwards is both a Preschool Teacher as well as an Early Childhood Library Clerk. She has six kids herself and over eight years of experience teaching preschool children.
If you’re interested in registering, you can do so at SchuylervilleLibrary.sals.edu – or, stop by the library in person.
