Taylor’s Heroes, a local nonprofit committed to keeping kids healthy, is starting their newest semester of fitness for area kids next month.
Taylor’s Heroes is offering their next free program for exercise and healthy eating for kids starting on Thursday, April 20th. The program is happening at the Saratoga Regional YMCA and is geared towards kids ages 8 to 18.
As part of the 14-week program participants can take advantage of weekly group personal training and nutrition and cooking classes with their families. They’ll also get a free membership to the Saratoga Regional YMCA for three months, and an opportunity to win prizes upon completion of the program!
This innovative group was created in 2011 in the memory of a Saratoga Springs High School graduate, David Taylor Miller, who was killed on active duty while serving in the US Marines in Afghanistan.
“The whole idea behind the charity is to help children get fit and learn the basics of nutrition while they have a lifetime to enjoy the benefits,” Leslie Miller, Board President and mother of David Taylor Miller, said in a statement.
