SARATOGA SPRINGS – Here’s a news flash: People like this event. Pure and simple…
… and they turn out in droves – year after year. For it has all the elements: an incredibly beautiful setting, perhaps a hint of spring, and tasting, tasting, tasting. All your local/regional favorites are here, with a few purveyors that you see only here. Even a few twists on an old favorite or two…
Add it all up, and you have the 8th annual Night at the Brewseum, presented by the Saratoga Springs Lions. As always, they have a reason to roar. It’s a well-thought out event, that really doesn’t need to change a thing from what I can see. They’ve carved a nice niche for themselves in April, and it is reasonable to think that they can have an 18th annual, or an 88th annual, and have it be as successful.
Everyone has their favorites. As one who favors darker beers I give my big props to Unified BeerWorks from Malta for their Stout; and Valcour Brewing of Plattsburgh (who ventures down the Northway for this event alone! Here’s hoping that will change and we see them here more often) for their Gold Medal Winning Porter. The dessert combo from Saratoga Gluten Free Bakery and Saratoga Courage Distillery certainly grabbed a big crowd’s attention as well!
But the point is that that if you were a Stella or Lite beer person, or a white wine type, there was plenty for you too. See above comment about well-run event – that’s a big part of the equation – keeping the masses happy.
The Night at the Brewseum benefits local sight, hearing, diabetes, youth and veterans programs supported by the Saratoga Lions. Visit their WEBSITE to learn more.
In the meantime, everyone’s thirsty for pics, so cheers! Enjoy the gallery.
