Landscapes for Landsake Art Sale & Exhibition
ASA's Landscapes for Landsake is an annual art exhibition that celebrates both the agricultural heritage and stunning landscapes of the Upper Hudson Valley. Now in its 19th year, the show is the region’s largest art buying event of the season. It draws thousands of visitors from all over the country, from professionals (gallery owners and museum curators) to art lovers of all ages.
The 3-day event is typically held every Columbus Day weekend in the magnificent 19th-century post and beam barn at Maple Ridge, a historic estate just west of Cambridge, NY. Due to COVID-19, 2020's event will be held online. The site information will be shared with the public in September and the show will launch as it has over the years on Columbus Day Weekend (October 10th, 2020).
Many of the featured artists are internationally recognized painters. There is also a strong representation of works in other media, including sculpture, ceramics, photography, and furniture.
Besides its prominence on the social calendar, Landscapes for Landsake is the largest fundraiser for ASA, with participating artists donating 50% of the purchase price of their works to ASA.
The Agricultural Stewardship Association was founded by farmers to protect agricultural land and ensure a future for farming in our region. Since its founding in 1990, ASA has worked with farmers and their families to protect 22,328 acres on 133 properties in Washington and Rensselaer counties.
