NYCB On and Off Stage: All Balanchine

New York City Ballet will return to its summer home in Saratoga Springs this July for NYCB On and Off Stage, an intimate, up-close look at selected excerpts from the company's extraordinary repertory of ballets. Never before presented for Saratoga audiences, the series will feature an ensemble of 15 NYCB dancers performing excerpts alongside live piano accompaniment and insights from Principal Dancers.

Join New York City Ballet for a special educational presentation illuminating the extraordinary and expansive repertory of Founding Choreographer George Balanchine, hosted by NYCB Principal Dancer Gonzalo Garcia. While Mr. Balanchine may best be known for his iconic ballet The Nutcracker, he choreographed more than 400 pieces in his lifetime. From the minimalist and neoclassical Agon to the romantic and jazzy Who Cares?, you’ll see excerpts from some of his greatest masterpieces and learn about the dance legacy he created for generations to enjoy.
