Yin Yoga for Deep Relaxation
This practice will increase mobility and strength in the joints, by stretching the connective tissue in a safe and informed way. The students will be instructed on how to come into the posture at the appropriate depth for themselves, with the intention of embracing the stillness. Yin Yoga will allow the practitioner to move past resistance, while surrendering to the breath in a soft and steady rhythm. Each pose is held for a period of 3-5 minutes, with the use of props. At the end of the surrendering physical practice, students will be taken into a deep rest and the class will end with simple pranayama and mantra.
