The Adirondack Trust Co. has promoted Eric Navarra to assistant vice president/retail banking development officer.
Navarra joined Adirondack Trust in 2016 as assistant treasurer/branch manager of the Ballston Spa branch, and was promoted to assistant treasurer/small business development officer, a role that required collaboration with other branch managers to develop, retain and expand relationships with new and existing business customers.

NBT Bank has hired James Brown as an investment officer. He is based at NBT Bank’s Saratoga Springs office.
Brown has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining NBT, he was a relationship manager for Bank of America’s private wealth management firm, U.S. Trust.
Brown earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Michael’s College. He is a graduate of the New York Bankers Association’s Fiduciary Investment School and completed the advanced consultative sales training program at the Cannon Financial Institute.

Roohan Realty announced its top Realtors for the year of 2018.
The top five agents are Valerie Thompson, Kate R. Naughton, Conner Roohan, Meg Minehan and Darlene Chorman.
In addition, the top commercial agent was Amy Sutton.
The company recently held an awards celebration and dinner in their honor at The Lodge. In total, they achieved over $56.8 million in real estate property sales last year, the company said.

Merrill Lynch announced that Susan Phillips and Kevin Mosher recently joined The Moloney-Leonard Group.
Phillips has more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. She began her career as a financial advisor at Fleet Investment Services in 1992, prior to that she held numerous positions within the retail bank.
Today, she leverages the investment insights of Merrill Lynch and access to the banking convenience of Bank of America.

Jenks Family Insurance in Saratoga Springs announced that Kristen Jenks is the newest licensed agent for home, auto and business insurance. 

Jenks, of Saratoga Springs, has worked at the agency for the past year, learning the business through a variety of tasks. She performed a variety of clerical work, all while studying for the state exam to be a licensed professional insurance agent which she passed to become a licensed professional insurance agent.

She will also be overseeing the marketing department.

The Chazen Companies announced that Elizabeth Bartosik and Johnathan A. Gell have received their engineer in training (EIT) designation. 

EIT is a professional designation from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) to designate a person certified by the state as having completed a minimum of three years of post-secondary school with an accredited engineering program and has passed the NCEES six-hour Fundamentals of Engineering examination. Receiving an EIT designation is one step toward professional engineer licensure.

The Adirondack Trust Co. has hired Leslie D’Angelico as senior vice president, director of retail banking.

D’Angelico joined Adirondack Trust in December and is responsible for the administration, growth and efficient operation of the bank’s retail network.

Prior to joining Adirondack Trust, her 25-year career encompassed business development, small business production, investment consulting, retail leadership and profitability, and community involvement.

Active in her community, D’Angelico serves as an executive board member and finance chair for the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, she serves on the Tri-County United Way Board and Queensbury Community Scholarship Association.

She resides in the Queensbury area.

Shelters of Saratoga (SOS) board of directors named Karen A. Gregory to lead the agency as the new executive director.

A veteran of nonprofit leadership for the Columbia-Greene Domestic Violence Program, Gregory has held public and private sector roles throughout her career of more than 20 years.

She has experience in nonprofit and public service agencies and corporations. As executive director of the Columbia-Greene Domestic Violence Program, Gregory led the agency through its growth with the acquisition of two agency-owned shelters and two transitional apartment buildings.

In addition to her nonprofit experience, Gregory served as a law enforcement officer for five years. Most recently, she served in an operational leadership role for Target Corp.

The Wesley Community announced that Jeff Cohn has been appointed chief information officer at the senior living campus in Saratoga Springs.

Cohn will be responsible for supporting and facilitating the needs and strategic growth of The Wesley Community’s technology and business functions. This includes the enhancement of Wesley’s information technology plan; maintenance and operation of information security; operating various business applications; and developing technology solutions throughout the campus.

Cohn has nearly 40 years of experience working in the information technology field and was one of the first certified netware engineers in New York state. He is the co-founder of SAGE Computer Associates. Cohn served as the principal for ADNET’s Albany location for the past three years.

He is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta, where he received a degree in geography and double minored in computer graphics and business.

The Patient Experience Project (PEP) announced the addition of Kristen Scannell as a patient experience coordinator and Elizabeth Stauffer as director of strategic planning.

Scannell has more than five years of educational experience as a school counselor at a number of school districts. In her new role, she will coordinate and support the successful execution of the agency’s patient relationship management activities, including PEP’s patient mentor, speaking, and adviser programs.

Scannell received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Conn., and a master’s degree in education and school counseling from the College of Saint Rose in Albany.

NBT Bank announced that retail market manager Ian Townsend has been promoted to vice president.

Townsend has over 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. After completing NBT’s management development program, he advanced to positions of increasing responsibility in the bank’s Albany and Saratoga County branches. 

He was named assistant vice president in July 2015 and was promoted to retail market manager in June 2016. 

Townsend is responsible for managing the teams at NBT’s 12 branches in Clinton, Essex, Saratoga and Warren counties.
