According to he companies, Invitation To
\nBid Manager (ITB Manager) gives companies
\nthe ability to efficiently and easily send
\nout bid invitations to a list of vendors and
\nsubcontractors. Optional integration with
\nan existing install of Sage 300 Construction
\nand Real Estate, formerly Sage Timberline
\nOffice, by The Sage Group, makes getting
\nup and running effortless, they said. <\/p>\n
“We designed ITB based on the needs of our customers,” said Paul Unter, president of Construction Information Systems, and partner in Construction Essentials. “Many of our customers are using solutions that do not connect to a centralized database of contacts. With this solution, contacts are shared with their accounting, estimating and project management solutions.<\/p>\n
“Our users will also have the ability to push awarded contracts back to their Job Cost system. Plus, ITB sets up bid websites for projects, allowing subcontractors and vendors the ability to download plans, addendums and pdf’s as well as keeping track of plan holders. We feel we finally have an integrated request for bid system.”<\/p>\n
ITB Manager allows contacts to be grouped by geographic location and the type of service provided when the address book has been synched, or manually created, if the user chooses to do so, company officials said. Standard specification books with categories like “masonry”, “metals”, and “concrete” are available by default, and multiple CSI specs can be used.<\/p>\n
Bid invitations can be generated automatically, using the built-in templates, providing an endless amount of customization for the end user. Both e-mail and fax can be used in sending the invitations. A web access option allows the recipients to browse any applicable drawings and files provided by the project creator, according to he company.<\/p>\n
Unter said Invitation To Bid Manager effectively changes the way in which construction companies generate and distribute bid invitations. What once was a time consuming process, is now a task simplified and completed within minutes.<\/p>\n
