The Red Wing Shoe Co. is adding to its
\nchain of stores with a new shop at Clifton
\nPark Center Mall, opening in September.
\nIt will feature the latest in Red Wing
\nwork products, including purpose-built
\nfootwear from the Red Wing brand, as well
\nas products from the company’s WORX and
\nIrish Setter lines and footwear from the Red
\nWing Heritage collection.<\/p>\n
“Red Wing Shoe Co. has been a leader in
\nthe footwear industry for over 100 years. We
\ncontinue to excel by offering exceptional
\nservice and fit as well as great quality products
\nwith every shopping experience,” said
\nWes Thies, vice president of North America
\nsales and operations. “We have a wide selection
\nof footwear products to meet anyone’s
\nneeds, including men’s and women’s styles,
\nwork footwear, casual footwear and outdoor
\nfootwear.” <\/p>\n
He said leather chairs, brick walls, custom fixtures and a state-of-the-art sound system bring visitors into an industrial work-themed atmosphere that provides comfort for customers and connects them with the core principals of the Red Wing Shoe Company.<\/p>\n
Designed with consumer needs in mind, the new location was selected for its convenience, featuring spacious parking and visibility for easy locating, said Thies.<\/p>\n
The company is headquartered in Minnesota. According to the company, a Red Wing, Minn., shoe merchant named Charles Beckman saw a need for shoes designed for the demanding work of industries like mining, logging and farming. He set out to develop work boots to fill this need and in 1905 he and some investors opened a company named Red Wing Shoes.<\/p>\n
The new Red Wing Store located at the Clifton Park Center Mall will be next to the Hilton Garden Inn. Store hours of operation are schedule for Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n
