Michael Gray and Randy Orsini have been
\nworking side by side as partners in the electric
\nbusiness for 21 years. Their DBA (doing
\nbusiness as) certificate was filed in 1993 as
\nOrsini and Gray Electrical Contractors, but
\neveryone knows them as Orsini Electric.<\/p>\n

In April, Orsini officially retired. Gray
\nis now seated at the helm, and as a result,
\nthe company name is changing. Gray has
\nbeen updating the vehicle signs, website,
\nadvertising and necessary state documents
\nto reflect the company’s new name, MTG Electric LLC.<\/p>\n

MTG presently employs one other electrician
\nand will continue to service commercial
\nand residential customers. Gray said
\nover the years he and Orsini developed a
\nstrong customer base in the Saratoga area
\nand to points as far north as Lake Placid.<\/p>\n

The company presently has 12 steady
\ncommercial customers and numerous
\nrepeat residential customers, according
\nto Gray.
\n“That is plenty for a two-man operation,”
\nGray said. “On the commercial side, we’ve
\ndone a lot of work for Time Warner cable
\nand recently worked for a Dollar Tree Store
\nin Ticonderoga. On the residential side, I’d
\nsay we get about 100 calls a year.”<\/p>\n

Gray’s workdays have extending into the
\nevenings because he is responsible for the
\npaperwork, billing, ordering material and
\nmeeting with the accountant.<\/p>\n

“Randy was the office guy. Now, I am
\nhandling that part of the business, too. It’s
\nbusy around here,” he said. “At some point, I’ll want to handle just all of the paperwork
\nand stop crawling in those attic spaces.”<\/p>\n

The company has not ventured into the
\nnew housing construction market, nor does
\nGray have plans to go that direction, he said.
\n“I am not planning to expand at this point,”
\nsaid Gray. “I like the feel of a small company.
\nI can keep a handle on things and provide our
\ncustomers with the quality workmanship they
\nreceive when they hire us. We pride ourselves
\non the quality of our work.”<\/p>\n

For residential customers, the company
\noffers rewiring and new wire installation,
\nlandscape lighting, service and panel
\nupgrades, subpanels, electrical outlet repairs,
\ninstallation of new outlets, cable TV
\nor phone jacks, and breaker and fuse box
\nreplacements.<\/p>\n

MTG also is available 24\/7 for residential
\nelectrical emergencies or power outages.
\nFor commercial customers, MTG can
\n“power up” a building with new electrical
\nsystems and upgrades, wiring, lighting, cabling,
\nenergy saving solutions, power distribution,
\nelectrical repairs and installations,
\nroutine electrical maintenance, and bucket
\ntruck service for lighting maintenance.<\/p>\n
