With All Things Good II , sisters Renee
\nMantello and Kim DeVito bring their Loudonville
\nspa services and juice bar to the
\nnew Pavilion Grand Hotel on Lake Avenue
\nin Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

The Saratoga location opened in early
\nMay. Their clientele, so far, has been split
\nabout evenly between hotel guests and
\npeople “off the street,” including some
\nLoudonville customers who live or work in
\nSaratoga, the owners said.<\/p>\n

The business is “all about wholistic healing,”
\nDeVito said, using fresh natural ingredients
\nand chemical-free cosmetics. The spa
\noffers an array of services, including facials,
\n“all kinds of massages,” manicures and
\npedicures, yoga classes and nutrition advice.
\nThere is also a juice bar offering cold-pressed
\nfruit and vegetable juice blends.<\/p>\n

In addition, they are introducing “something
\nnew to the area,” infrared heat
\ntherapy, a sort of heat-induced detoxification,
\nsaid DeVito. Clients are “dry brushed,”
\nslathered in cream, and then wrapped in
\nlarge heated blankets and allowed to sweat
\nit all out for 30-60 minutes. DeVito said it
\nis good for sore joints and muscles, skin
\nproblems, and weight loss.<\/p>\n

Another service is juice cleanses. They
\nhave, according to DeVito, “been a huge success,”
\nboth in Loudonville and in Saratoga.
\nOn each day of a juice cleanse, the client
\nbegins the day with a dose of a probiotic digestive
\nenzyme, then, over the course of the
\nday drinks six 16-ounce bottles of a blend
\nof fruit and\/or vegetable juices–and nothing
\nelse. The juice blends are formulated
\nfor the cleanses and are different from the
\nblends served at the juice bar. The bottles
\nare numbered and come with instructions,
\nshe explained.<\/p>\n

“When we first opened in Loudonville, we
\nthought we would have a spa with a juice
\nbar attached, but it has turned into a juice
\nbar with a spa attached,” DeVito said. In
\nSaratoga, so far, the spa has been the main
\ndraw. At the spa, the most popular items
\nhave been facials and massages.<\/p>\n

For hotel guests, All Things Good II
\npersonnel will bring the spa to the room or
\nrooftop garden and perform services there
\nif the customer wishes.<\/p>\n

The spa employs about 20 people, including
\na full-time manager, Jennifer Post, who
\nis a nutritionist. Most of the others work
\npart time or are on-call as needed.<\/p>\n

So far, clients have included men as well
\nas women. With the men, “massages are
\nhuge,” DeVito said, and they also come for
\nmanicures, pedicures and facials.<\/p>\n

Mantello was trained as an esthetician.
\nHer daughter, who is also involved in the
\nbusiness, has a marketing degree from
\nMarist College. DeVito described herself
\nas, formerly, a “stay-at-home mom” who
\ndid some commercial interior design work.<\/p>\n

All Things Good II is located at the hotel
\nat 30 Lake Ave. The phone number is 487-
\n4288. Spa hours are Monday to Saturday
\nfrom 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sunday, from 9
\na.m. to 5 p.m. The juice bar is open Monday
\nto Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on
