{"id":15639,"date":"2014-09-11T13:19:36","date_gmt":"2014-09-11T17:19:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2014\/09\/new-executive-director-of-wesley-foundation.html"},"modified":"2014-09-11T13:19:36","modified_gmt":"2014-09-11T17:19:36","slug":"new-executive-director-of-wesley-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2014\/09\/new-executive-director-of-wesley-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Former Saratoga Tourism Official Named Executive Director Of Wesley Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"img-left\">\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"greg dixon.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2014\/09\/greg20dixon.jpg\" class=\"alignleft\" height=\"170\" width=\"150\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"img-caption\">Greg Dixon will lead fundraising efforts for Wesley Community&#8217;s philanthropic arm\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Wesley Community announced the appointment<br \/>\nof Greg Dixon as executive director of The<br \/>\nWesley Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>In his role, Dixon will lead fundraising efforts for<br \/>\nthe philanthropic arm of The Wesley Community.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Greg is a tremendous addition to our team and<br \/>\nwill be an asset to The Wesley Community and<br \/>\nits Foundation,&#8221; said Brian Nealon, CEO of The<br \/>\nWesley Community. &#8220;His professional experience,<br \/>\ncombined with his deep ties to Saratoga Springs<br \/>\nand the surrounding communities, will benefit all<br \/>\nof our residents as we constantly work to improve<br \/>\nthe level of care and the services that we provide.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his position at The Wesley Foundation,<br \/>\nDixon held various roles in marketing, communications<br \/>\nand non-profit management as the vice<br \/>\npresident of marketing and communications at<br \/>\nOld Sturbridge Village in Mass., the managing<br \/>\npartner and founder of marketing and research<br \/>\nfirm Noonmark Group LLC, and as vice president<br \/>\nfor tourism at the Saratoga County Chamber of<br \/>\nCommerce.<\/p>\n<p>Dixon graduated magna cum laude from SUNY<br \/>\nNew Paltz with a degree in business administration.<br \/>\nHe is also a graduate of the United States<br \/>\nChamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational<br \/>\nManagement program, holds a certificate<br \/>\nin sustainable business from the University of<br \/>\nVermont, completed the NYSEDC basic economic<br \/>\ndevelopment course, and is a 2007 graduate of the<br \/>\nLeadership Saratoga program. He is a veteran of<br \/>\nthe U.S. Army and the Vermont Army National Guard and is a former NCAA Division III men&#8217;s<br \/>\nbasketball coach.<\/p>\n<p>Dixon has also served on the board of directors<br \/>\nfor several area nonprofit organizations, including<br \/>\nthe Saratoga Springs History Museum, where he<br \/>\nserved as president, the New York State Travel<br \/>\nand Vacation Association, the New York State TPA<br \/>\nCouncil and The Wesley Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The Wesley Community is a 36-acre, nonprofit<br \/>\nagency in Saratoga Springs, which serves the needs<br \/>\nof the elderly, as well as active seniors, adults and<br \/>\npediatrics.<\/p>\n<p>Photo Courtesy The Wesley Community<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> Greg Dixon will lead fundraising efforts for Wesley Community&#8217;s philanthropic arm The Wesley Community announced the appointment of Greg Dixon as executive director of The Wesley Foundation.
