The Saratoga County Business-to-Business Expo presented by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce gave businesses a chance to network with clients and others<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The annual Saratoga County Business-to-
\nBusiness Expo presented by the Saratoga
\nCounty Chamber of Commerce drew approximately
\n1,500 people to the City Center on Oct.
\n2, Chamber officials reported.<\/p>\n

“The attendance was the most that I have
\never seen,” said Mark Baker, president of
\nSaratoga Springs City Center for the past
\n30 years. It drew 146 vendors, representing
\nnearly 75 industries, 12 restaurant\/caterers
\ngiving free samples, two photo booths, two
\nbars, door prizes and various activities, officials
\nsaid.<\/p>\n

The number of attendees, both membership
\nand the public, makes it the largest business-to-
\nbusiness networking event of the year in
\nthe Capital Region, according to the Chamber.<\/p>\n

“When we began planning this event back in
\nJune, our goal was clear: to make this the largest
\nand most beneficial business-to-business
\nnetworking opportunity for our members,”
\nsaid Todd Shimkus, president of the Saratoga
\nCounty Chamber of Commerce. “By personally
\nreaching out to all our members, we really
\ntried to express the importance of attending.
\nWe were told by several vendors that they
\ngenerated many high-quality leads, which is
\nexactly what we were trying to accomplish.”<\/p>\n

From the time the expo started at 3:30 p.m.,
\nuntil when it ended at 7, vendors welcomed
\nattendees to their booth to show off their
\nproducts and services.<\/p>\n

Exhibitors at the annual event ranged from
\nthe health care industry to training services,
\ninsurance companies, the legal profession,
\nbanks and the financial industry, educational
\ninstitutions, real estate, building trades,
\nmarketing companies, retail outlets, nonprofit
\norganizations and more.<\/p>\n

“The more times we can encourage members
\nto do business with other local members,
\nthe better off everybody is,” said Shimkus.
\n“That’s a win-win for them and it keeps money
\nin the local economy.”<\/p>\n

“It was great to see all of the people and
\nbusinesses at this year’s Business Expo,
\nsaid Rob Ward, marketing manager at The
\nAdirondack Trust Co., which, along with
\nAdirondack Technical Solutions, was a gold
\nsponsor of the event.<\/p>\n

“Based on all the people that stopped by our
\nbooth there was a strong sense of excitement
\nand enthusiasm from all that attended,” said
\nWard. “We are proud to be a gold-level sponsor
\nand to help the Chamber put on this expo annually
\nthat unites community and business.”<\/p>\n
