RealtyUSA announced it has merged
\nthe local real estate franchise Weichert
\nRealtors-Northeast, Capital Region offices
\nwith RealtyUSA.<\/p>\n

The move became effective Sept. 17.
\nOfficials said the merger follows many
\nsuccessful years as an affiliate Weichert
\nfranchisee and the expiration of the franchise
\nagreement.<\/p>\n

Weichert Realtors-Northeast agents will
\ncontinue to service their clients with the enhanced
\nproducts and services of RealtyUSA
\nand a broader Upstate New York market
\nreach, the groups said.<\/p>\n

After growing a successful company
\nover the past 25 years and after much due
\ndiligence, Doug Engels and Peter Staniels,
\nco-owners and operators of local real estate
\nfranchise Weichert Realtors-Northeast, and their team of approximately 65 Realtors
\nand professional staff will join RealtyUSA’s
\nCapital Region sales force.<\/p>\n

Officials said the new RealtyUSA agents
\nwill continue to operate out of their former
\nWeichert locations in Guilderland, Clifton
\nPark and Saratoga, bringing the number of
\nRealtyUSA offices serving the Capital District
\nto 12, and increasing their local market
\nshare to just over 23 percent.<\/p>\n

“I am excited about the opportunity to
\nwork with the management team and all of
\nthe agents and staff at Realty USA,” Engels
\nsaid. “When two top companies have the
\nchance to come together and create new
\nsynergies and market place dynamics everyone
\nbenefits. Peter Staniels and I built our
\ncompany over the last 25 years and I look forward to this new era with RealtyUSA.”<\/p>\n

Staniels said after years of doing business
\nwith agents and managers of RealtyUSA, “I
\nhave great respect and admiration for what
\nthey have accomplished. I also have many
\nfriends there as a result. It just makes sense
\nthat we work together now.”<\/p>\n

Merle Whitehead, president\/CEO of
\nRealtyUSA said, “We are so honored to be
\nwelcoming Doug, Peter and their distinguished
\ngroup of agents and staff. Their
