Robotics competition.<\/p>\n<p>The $6,000 in funding, combined with additional<br \/>\ncorporate sponsorships and team<br \/>\nfundraising, will allow the district&#8217;s team to<br \/>\ndesign and construct a robot according to<br \/>\nthis year&#8217;s specifications, participate in regional<br \/>\ncompetitions, and continue to expand<br \/>\nthe robotics initiatives to additional students<br \/>\nin the district.<\/p>\n<p>The district continues to focus on partnerships<br \/>\nwith business and nonprofit organizations<br \/>\nthroughout the region as part of the<br \/>\nPartnership for Innovation in Education<br \/>\nprogram. The increased support for the robotics<br \/>\ninitiatives in the district has provided<br \/>\nadditional resources to fund teams in the elementary<br \/>\nand middle schools as they develop<br \/>\ntheir robotics programs and participate in<br \/>\nregional competition.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Ballston Spa National Bank is<br \/>\nalso the title Sponsor for the school district&#8217;s<br \/>\nFall Family Festival that will take place at<br \/>\nEllms Family Farm on Saturday, October 18,<br \/>\n2014.
