The Ballston Spa Central School District
\nagain received support from Ballston Spa
\nNational Bank to fund the Ballston Spa High
\nSchool Robotics Team’s participation in the annual
\nUS F.I.R.S.T. Robotics competition.<\/p>\n

The $6,000 in funding, combined with additional
\ncorporate sponsorships and team fundraising,
\nwill allow the district’s team to design
\nand construct a robot according to this year’s
\nspecifications, participate in regional competitions,
\nand continue to expand the robotics
\ninitiatives to additional students in the district.<\/p>\n

The district continues to focus on partnerships
\nwith business and nonprofit organizations
\nthroughout the region as part of the Partnership
\nfor Innovation in Education program. The
\nincreased support for the robotics initiatives in
\nthe district has provided additional resources
\nto fund teams in the elementary and middle
\nschools as they develop their robotics programs
\nand participate in regional competition.<\/p>\n

This year, Ballston Spa National Bank is also
\nthe title Sponsor for the school district’s Fall
\nFamily Festival that will take place at Ellms
\nFamily Farm on Saturday, October 18, 2014. The
\nproceeds raised at the event will support mission
\nrelated programs and initiatives through
\nthe Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation
\nin Education Fund, a component fund of the
\nCommunity Foundation for the Greater Capital
