The Saratoga Builders Association Inc. announced
\ncontinued monetary commitment to
\neducation with the awarding a $1,000 student
\nscholarship in 2015.<\/p>\n
The organization makes this scholarship
\navailable annually to high school seniors who
\nare planning to pursue a construction industry
\neducation.<\/p>\n
It is open to any high school senior in
\nSaratoga County who is planning to pursue
\nconstruction education at a two- or four-year
\naccredited college or university or to students
\nwho would like to purchase tools for employment
\nin construction.<\/p>\n
Students must have a grade point average A
\nof 3.0 or higher. They must demonstrate current
\nor past involvement in the construction field,
\nincluding classes taken in high school, to be
\neligible for this award.<\/p>\n
Each applicant must also submit a high
\nschool transcript or list of construction classes
\ntaken plus a short essay describing why they are
\ninterested in a construction industry career and
\nwhat events led to this decision.<\/p>\n
Applications must be postmarked on or before
\nApril 1. Only the first 25 completed applications
\nwill be accepted so early registration is urged.
\nThe winner and their school will be notified
\nby May 1.<\/p>\n
