Heather A. Clickner, who grew up in Waterford,
\nsaid she always wanted to be an attorney.<\/p>\n

She pursued it and recently opened an office
\nin Saratoga Springs. She
\npractices family law, where she handles cases
\nthat deal with custody, domestic abuse, divorce,
\nchild support, and other cases. Clickner has experience
\nin family law, civil litigation, municipal
\nlaw, personal injury and traffic matters.<\/p>\n

She is licensed in both Massachusetts and
\nNew York. Clickner has been practicing since
\n2013 in the Capital District. She is a member of
\nthe Albany County Bar Association, the Capital
\nDistrict Women’s Bar Association, the New York
\nState Bar Association and the American Bar
\nAssociation.<\/p>\n

During law school she was involved with
\norganizations that provided representation to
\nindigent clients. She interned with Chief Judge
\nHaiganush R. Bedrosian of the Rhode Island
\nFamily Court, Rhode Island Legal Services and
\nthe Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General
\nin the White Collar Crime and Juvenile Units.<\/p>\n

She was selected to the university’s School of Law
\nImmigration Clinic and was involved with the
\nImmigration Law, Education & Advocacy Project
\nat Catholic Social Services in Fall River, Mass.
\n“I like to keep the costs low so the savings can
\nbe passed on to the client,” said Clickner. “There
\nare so many people who need legal representation
\nbut can’t afford it.”<\/p>\n

She provides pro bono representation in special
\nimmigrant juvenile cases being adjudicated in front of the Federal Immigration Court in New
\nYork City with the U.S. Committee for Refugees
\nand Immigrants (USCRI).<\/p>\n

When not working on law cases, Clickner
\nhelps volunteer with the Fresh Air Fund, an
\norganization that provides summer vacations to
\nthe rural countryside for New York City children.<\/p>\n

As the chairwoman of the program in the Ballston
\nSpa area, Clickner helps publicize the program
\nand also hosted a child last summer.<\/p>\n
