The Saratoga Economic Development
\nCorp. in partnership with SUNY Adirondack
\nand WSWHE BOCES, is offering a series of
\neight classes under the title “Manufacturing
\nMatters,” designed to support existing manufacturing-
\nbased companies in advancing their
\nproduction to the global economy.<\/p>\n
The courses will be at the SUNY Adirondack
\nWilton campus on Route 9.<\/p>\n
Officials said the courses will start with Introduction
\nto Resource Partner Organizations,
\n9-11 a.m. or 1-3 p.m. on Thursday, March 19. It is
\nfree of charge and registration is required. This
\nis set up as a meet-and-greet with people the
\norganizations involved and network.<\/p>\n
The other segments are:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Legal: Contracts and Patents, 1-3 p.m.
\nTuesday, March 24. It is a discussion and panel
\npresentation covering both contract and patent
\ninformation.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Exporting: Stateside and Worldwide, 9-11
\na.m. Tuesday, March 24. This session presentation
\nwill encompass all aspects of answers,
\nguidelines, networks and policies<\/p>\n
\u2022 Marketing, 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March
\n31. Marketing ideas, concepts and guidance
\nspecifically for manufacturers will be covered.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Real Estate Development and Distribution,
\n1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 2. Businesses that need
\nmore space, new space or maybe even ready
\nto take on ownership of a building can chat
\nwith experts specializing with working with
\nmanufacturing operations.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Capital and Financing, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday,
\nApril 14. Learn how public\/private deals can
\nwork and what programs are out there for
\nmanufacturing businesses.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Human Resources and Workforce, 9-11
\na.m. Thursday, April 16. Presenters will offer
\nsolutions to outlets for workforce, how to
\ntrain, motivate and retain your workforce in a
\ncompetitive market.<\/p>\n
\u2022 ENERGY-Powerful Partners, 1-3 p.m. Tuesday,
\nApril 21. Partners will give advice, guidance
\nand connections to utilize the programs and
\nincentives available for manufacturers. They
\nwill also answer questions, give recommendations
\nfor costs, timelines and needs analysis.<\/p>\n
The sessions are $250 for all eight or $45
\neach.<\/p>\n
