Yoga instructors Justin Wolfer and
\nCamacha Jones always found suitable
\nspace to rent, over seven years, to host
\nyoga classes. They shared a passion for
\nlearning more about the benefits of the
\nmental and spiritual discipline.<\/p>\n

Sometimes the husband and wife team
\nwould host a yoga class by renting space in
\na school library, church, town recreation
\nroom or fitness center. Wherever people
\nwere interested in yoga, Wolfer and Jones
\nwould go.<\/p>\n

But they desired to have their own
\nspace. In, November they opened Rise
\nYoga & Movement Arts Center in the
\nWashington Building at 422 Broadway,
\nSuite 202, Broadway, Saratoga Springs,
\nabove Northshire Bookstore.<\/p>\n

The center offers Vinyasa yoga, beginner
\nbreath and movement classes, alignment,
\nstrength and conditioning classes
\nand more.<\/p>\n

“We are creating a community space
\nwhere members an come to enjoy our
\nbeautiful space to take classes, but also to
\nbreathe, meditate, read a book, or simply
\ntake advantage of breathing in our space
\nthat has an active plant wall,” Wolfer said.<\/p>\n

He said the plant wall is based on
\ncutting edge technology. Plants are fed
\nthrough a hydroponic system. The plant
\nsoil takes away the dust and dander in
\nthe space and the air is cleansed four
\ntimes a day.<\/p>\n

“Our space offers natural light, healthy
\nbreathing and specifically focuses on our
\nvision of what yoga is,” he added. “Our vision
\nis based on our life philosophy, our
\nvalues and our mission of yoga.”<\/p>\n

Prior to opening the center, Wolfer
\ntaught yoga in various spaces and years
\nbefore played Division I baseball for St.
\nJoseph’s University, Philadelphia. He
\nbrings not only his sage experience of
\nyoga to the center, but also his understanding
\nof conditioning and training that
\nhe learned as an athlete.<\/p>\n

Jones is an accomplished professional
\ndancer. She was born and raised
\non Geurnsey Island, England, south of
\nLondon. She danced for 18 years at Center
\nPerforming Arts College, specializing in
\ntap, jazz, ballet, theater and, obviously,
\nyoga. The duo bring both physicality
\nand passion to new yoga center, giving
\nmembers the sense of being on retreat
\nwithout having to drive many miles for
\nthe experience.<\/p>\n

“Yoga is a process,” Wolfer said. “It
\nconstantly lends itself to new beginnings.
\nIt is a relationship in both community
\nand life.”<\/p>\n

There are various membership rates
\nand discounts for students, military, civil
\nservice and senior citizens.<\/p>\n
