Cassie Fox says being a working professional
\nin Saratoga Springs is something that
\nnot only is she proud of but it’s also what
\nkeeps her motivated. She and her husband
\nHarvey share the business that she has been
\na part of since 1981, N. Fox Jewelers, 404
\nBroadway, Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n
She said it’s the perfect “marriage” of business
\nand family.
\n“I became involved in May 1981 when I
\nmarried him. It was a family business that
\nhe had purchased three years previously, in
\n1978. I chose to become involved because
\nI knew that with our different strengths,
\ntogether, we could continue to build and
\ngrow a successful business in the city we
\nloved,”said Fox.<\/p>\n
She said becoming part of the business
\nallowed her to stay connected to family while
\nworking. Rather than having two separate
\ncareers she and her husband chose to work
\ntowards one common goal.<\/p>\n
Today, Fox said the business continues
\nto thrive and change to meet the needs of
\ntheir clients. She noted it never gets old and
\nthey are always learning and adapting, while
\nmaintaining the things that have made the
\nbusiness so successful.<\/p>\n
“What inspires me is the process of being
\nable to take an idea, to research and investigate
\nthe pros and cons, possible upsides and
\ndownsides and then put the plan in motion,”
\nsaid Fox. “It is exciting and satisfying when
\nour ideas are successful, it is educational
\nwhen they are not, fortunately not too many
\nof these.”<\/p>\n
She said working in the Spa City keeps
\nher going as a successful professional. The ability to interact with the broad spectrum
\nof interesting and accomplished people who
\nchoose to visit, live in and do business in
\nSaratoga makes a difference.<\/p>\n
“These interactions, in business and
\non various local boards have continued to
\nstimulate me intellectually and professionally,”
\nsaid Fox.<\/p>\n
N. Fox Jewelers is open Monday through Saturday,
\n10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. It is closed Sundays.
