Community and business leaders can
\naccess the knowledge and experience
\nof world-renowned leaders by attending
\nLeadercast at the Gannet Auditorium at
\nSkidmore College in Saratoga Springs on
\nFriday, May 8.<\/p>\n
Leadercast is live broadcast from Atlanta
\nto hundreds of sites around the world,
\nincluding Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n
This year’s speaker lineup includes:
\nAndy Stanley, a leadership author and
\ncommunicator; Malala Yousafzai, a Nobel
\nlaureate and founder of the Malala Fund;
\nEd Catmull, president of Pixar & Disney
\nanimation studios; Seth Godin, a bestselling
\nauthor; Rudy Giuliani, mayor of
\nNew York City from 1993-2001; Aja Brown,
\nmayor of Compton, Calif.; Bill McDermott,
\nCEO of SAP AG, a software company; Former
\nNavy Seal Commander Rorke Denver;
\nand Bill and Giuliana Rancic, co-hosts of
\nLeadercast.<\/p>\n
Last year, over 130,000 leaders from 35
\ncountries attended Leadercast, organizers
\nsaid. It is now in its 16th year.<\/p>\n
“It is one of the single most consolidated
\nsources of leadership that I know of,” said
\nTom Roohan, president of Roohan Realty.
\n“But it goes beyond that. I think this webcast,
\nalthough very focused on leadership,
\ntranscends the topic and really shows you
\nhow to lead in life. I am excited to be a
\npart of bringing this special webcast to our
\ncommunity again this year.”<\/p>\n
This year’s theme–The Brave Ones —
\nchallenges leaders to lead with a sense of
\nbravery, possessing a posture of unrelenting
\nboldness. Organizers say brave leaders
\ndisrupt industries through innovation,
\nstand firm in the face of opposition, and
\nembrace risk.<\/p>\n

\nevent is offered locally.
\nThe broadcast lasts from 9 a.m. to 4:30
\np.m.<\/p>\n
The ticket cost is $99 each, which includes
\nthe webcast, supporting materials,
\ncontinental breakfast, lunch and snacks
\nduring the day. There is also special pricing
\nof $69 each for non-profit organizations
\nand students who will be attending.<\/p>\n
