It is currently under construction, located near Fresh Market.\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>BY JILL NAGY<\/p>\n<p>The Hamlet at Saratoga Springs, a multi-use<br \/>\nbuilding that is the third phase of the Fresh<br \/>\nMarket plaza development on Excelsior Street<br \/>\nin Saratoga Springs, is expected to open in<br \/>\nearly 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The new building, currently under construction,<br \/>\nwill add 55 luxury apartments and 14,000<br \/>\nsquare feet of retail and office space to the<br \/>\ncomplex. Already completed and occupied<br \/>\nat the plaza are the Fresh Market store itself<br \/>\nand a separate retail building with three food oriented<br \/>\ntenants and two more expected to<br \/>\nopen for business in mid-summer, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Companies of Cohoes is developing<br \/>\nthe complex. The general contractor for the<br \/>\nHamlet is Trinity Building and Construction<br \/>\nManagement of Wilmington, Mass.<\/p>\n<p>Todd Curley, a partner in Prime Companies,<br \/>\nsaid apartments in the Hamlet will range from<br \/>\none-bedroom to three-bedroom units, some<br \/>\nwith their own rooftop gardens.<\/p>\n<p>The building will have indoor parking,<br \/>\ncommon areas for the use of tenants, and a communal rooftop garden. Rents have not<br \/>\nbeen determined, according to Curley, who has<br \/>\noverall responsibility for the project. He said<br \/>\nthey will be in the luxury category.<\/p>\n<p>Construction began three months ago,<br \/>\nCurley said, and he expects the building to be<br \/>\ncompleted by the end of 2015, with occupancy<br \/>\nin early 2016.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the Fresh Market Plaza<br \/>\nis close to the heart of downtown Saratoga<br \/>\nSprings but offers ample free parking for<br \/>\ncustomers.<\/p>\n<p>Development in that area is doing well,<br \/>\nthanks in large part to a high demand for restaurant<br \/>\nspace in the city, Curley noted.<\/p>\n<p>The Phase II building is currently home to<br \/>\na Smashburger restaurant and Genero&#8217;s Pizza<br \/>\nas well as a kitchen supply store, Compliments<br \/>\nto the Chef.<\/p>\n<p>The Fresh Market grocery store opened<br \/>\nabout a year ago.
