BUA Thai Sushi is a new restaurant in Ellsworth
\nCommons in Malta.
\nDoors opened in March at the establishment
\nat 1103 Ellsworth Boulevard.
\nthe company also has a restaurant in Lewiston,
\nMaine.<\/p>\n

BUA was searching the northeast for additional
\nlocations and was attracted to Malta
\nbecause of GlobalFoundries, which has brought
\nin a large and diverse workforce from all around
\nthe world, according to manager Henry Noh.<\/p>\n

“There are not a lot of Thai or Japanese restaurants
\naround here,” said Noh. “You have to go
\nto Saratoga Springs or Clifton Park.”<\/p>\n

The owners of Ellsworth Commons have been
\naggressively trying to bring in more businesses.
\nCurrent tenants include Plum Dandy, Wired
\nCoffee & Bagel and House of Polish.<\/p>\n

Noh said residents in Malta will enjoy the
\neclectic cuisine he offers. The menu includes
\nJapanese and Thai food. There are several
\nfreshly prepared sushi rolls to choose from, from
\nstandard rolls like the California roll to their own Lewiston roll.<\/p>\n

There are party boats of sushi available
\nto feed large gatherings of people. Japanese
\nentrees include tempuras, teriyakis, rice and
\nnoodle bowls, and more. For Thai food, there are
\nseveral curry dishes and rice dishes. Noh said
\nsome of the favorite dishes at the restaurant
\ninclude the grilled lobster in tamarind sauce;
\nhor monk seafood in red curry basil sauce; and
\ncrispy duck.<\/p>\n

All of the food is authentic in style. Noh himself
\nhas 12 years of experience in restaurants,
\ntraining as a sushi chef. His staff is all classically
\ntrained in Thai and Japanese food.<\/p>\n

The restaurant has a serene atmosphere, with
\nlots of Asian artwork adorning the walls. There
\nare dark hardwood floors that match the tables.
\nThe sushi counter is set out in front, so customers
\ncan watch their lunch being prepared.<\/p>\n

BUA Thai Sushi is open every day from 11:30
\na.m. until 9 p.m. Lunch is served from 11:30 to
\n3 p.m., and dinner is served from 3 p.m. until
