The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County
\nis moving to new offices at the Park Plaza at 58
\nClifton Country Road, Suite 101 effective July 1.<\/p>\n

The Chamber’s plans are intended to provide a
\nmore visible presence in downtown Clifton Park
\nas well as to provide greater flexibility in office
\nspace and the display of member literature and
\nother materials.<\/p>\n

They are currently located at 15 Park Ave. in
\nClifton Park.<\/p>\n

“This is a great opportunity for us to redesign
\nour office space to make the most use of available
\nresources while better tailoring it to the mission
\nof the Chamber which has evolved over the past
\nfew years,” said Pete Bardunias, the Chamber’s
\nPresident\/CEO. “We need more space devoted
\nto offices and the display of materials, and the
\nopportunity to move to the heart of Clifton Park’s new downtown will help us have more contact
\nwith businesses and the general public than
\never before.”<\/p>\n

An added benefit to the move will be the proximity
\nto the new Homewood Suites extended stay
\nhotel which is opening next door in the Clifton
\nPark Center Mall parking lot.<\/p>\n

“When I moved here in 2011, I learned the
\nvalue of spending time with other newcomers
\nto the area and helping them get settled,” said
\nBardunias. “We plan to work with all our member
\nhotels on better serving this audience, and having
\none right next door devoted to people moving to
\nthe area and\/or here for extended business duties
\nwill be a big plus.”<\/p>\n

Brianna Trexler, director of sales for the
\nHomewood Suites, said “As an extended stay hotel many of our guests are with us for weeks
\nor even months at a time. Having the Chamber
\nof Southern Saratoga County as our neighbor will
\nbe such a wonderful resource for our guests staying
\nlong term or relocating to the area. With the
\nChamber’s expert knowledge we can get them a
\nlittle more familiar with Clifton Park in no time!”<\/p>\n

The overall square footage of the new space
\nwill be somewhat less than before, with less space
\ndevoted to conference room and classroom facilities,
\nalthough the Chamber will still retain two
\nconference rooms with a maximum occupancy of
\nabout 35, Bardunias said.<\/p>\n

“We had a large classroom because of several
\ntenants which utilized the space,” he said. “Now,
\nmany of our members have added their own conference
\nand classroom facilities and we feel we
\ncan better serve members’ needs by holding more
\nof our classes and seminars at these locations
\nrather than essentially competing with them to
\noffer space. These days we are spending more
\nand more time in the field, which allows us to be
\nmore responsive to the needs of our membership.”<\/p>\n

The chamber praised longtime landlord Windsor
\nDevelopment Co. for the many years they
\nhosted the Chamber’s space.<\/p>\n

“We had to think long and hard about making
\na move because we have greatly appreciated the
\nrelationship with Windsor,” said Says Christine
\nDonohue, vice president of finance and administration.
\n“They are a great partner, a vital member
\nof this Chamber and we look forward to continuing
\nto work with them well into the future.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Robert Phillips of Atrium Properties,
\nthe Chamber’s new landlord, expressed
\nexcitement at the prospects of having the organization
\nmove to their office complex.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to host the Chamber at the
\nPark Plaza. The Chamber will be in the heart
\nof Clifton Park’s burgeoning Town Center, which will enhance the Chamber’s visibility and accessibility
\nto new and existing business owners
\nand allow the Chamber to shine as a beacon
\nfor entrepreneurship that has made Southern
\nSaratoga County a leading business location in
\nupstate New York.”<\/p>\n

The Chamber expects a seamless transition
\ninto the new space during the month of June,
\nand will be hosting a grand opening party later
\nthis summer, details to be announced. More
