Joe Consolo opened a Window Genie business in June, based out of Clifton Park, specializing in residential and light commercial window cleaning and pressure washing\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Window Genie opened its newest location in
\nClifton Park in June 15 with Joe Consolo as the
\nowner\/operator.<\/p>\n

Window Genie is a national home service
\nfranchise specializing in residential and light
\ncommercial window cleaning, window tinting,
\npressure washing, gutter cleaning and more.
\nConsolo will service the Albany communities
\nincluding Clifton Park up through Malta and
\nSaratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

Before purchasing a Window Genie franchise,
\nConsolo worked for CVS Health, formerly CVS
\nCaremark for 30 years, working as both a store
\nmanager and district manager covering the
\nAlbany and Westchester markets.<\/p>\n

“Growing up, my father was a builder and
\nowned his own business,” he said. “Business
\nownership had always been in the back of my
\nmind, but CVS was good to me. Not everyone loves
\ntheir job, but I did for many years. I think I was
\njust ready both mentally and financially to tackle
\nthis dream of being my own boss.<\/p>\n

“I’m under ten years away from retirement,
\nnow is my time to build something for myself that
\ncan do some good in the community.”<\/p>\n

He said while conducting his own research and
\nexploring business opportunities, he came across
\nan article titled, “13 Things to do with $100k
\nNow,” that featured a list of investments and
\npurchases recommended by experts in various
\nfields, including franchising. It suggested buying
\na franchise, specifically calling out Window Genie
\nas an example.<\/p>\n

“It was one of those gut feelings, something
\nabout Window Genie stood out from day one. Of
\ncourse I looked into other opportunities, but not
\na single red flag was raised about Window Genie
\n… Talking with the people at the corporate office
\nand the existing franchise partners around
\nthe country, I was just able to really see myself
\ndoing this.”<\/p>\n

He said having lived in the northern Albany
\narea for over 35 years “it excited me to imagine
\nrunning a service business where I could not only
\ncreate jobs but interact with different home and
\nbusiness owners every day, bringing useful and
\nmeaningful services to improve the look and value
\nof their properties.”<\/p>\n

Window Genie of Clifton Park officially opened
