Co-owners Lisa Wilson and Deborah Meluziis
\nare no newcomers to the hair styling industry.
\nThe two have owned and operated salons in
\nthe Capital Region for the past 10 years, including
\nGuys & Gals Hair Salon in Queensbury and
\nHair Mechanix, a barber shop in Wilton.<\/p>\n

Following the success of the first two locations,
\nthe co-owners looked for a third venue to
\nexpand their business.<\/p>\n

In July, they opened the Royal Salon in the
\nnew Embassy Suites hotel in Congress Plaza,
\nSaratoga Springs. The salon is leased from the
\nhotel, but not employed by it. It is open to the
\npublic, not just residents of the hotel.<\/p>\n

“We decided with this third location to
\ncombine the hair salon and barber shop” said
\nWilson.<\/p>\n

The Royal Salon offers services for both
\nmen and women. The salon features services
\nsuch as women’s cuts, color services, wash and
\nblow dry, and more. The barber shop provides
\nservices such as hot towel shave, men’s cuts,
\ncolor camo, and more.<\/p>\n

Hair appointments for children and seniors are also welcome.
\nRoyal Salon also has makeup, manicures,
\npedicures, gel manicures, acrylics, reflexology,
\nand waxing services.<\/p>\n

The facility has crisp white walls and black
\nfurniture, and large windows overlooking
\nSaratoga Springs. Guests can come in and relax,
\nknowing the experienced stylists will take care
\nof their needs.<\/p>\n

The salon has four service providers currently.
\nThere is spacious parking at the hotel and
\nit is a convenient walk to downtown Saratoga.
\n“I’ve always loved to do hair” said Wilson.
\n“It’s a gift for me, being able to make somebody
\nfeel beautiful.”<\/p>\n

The co-owners said the salon is doing well
\nthis first summer season.
\nThey hope to draw locals into the salon. Royal
\nSalon plans to hold its grand opening after
\nLabor Day weekend.
\nWalk-ins are welcome, as well as appointments.<\/p>\n

Royal Salon is open Monday through
\nFriday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturdays from 9
\na.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4
