Rebecca Gray is the owner and practitioner
\nof Radiance Skincare by Rebecca in Saratoga
\nSprings.
\nGray is a licensed aesthetician and alumni
\nof the Aesthetic Science Institute in Latham.<\/p>\n

“There are so many blogs and YouTube videos
\nout there. It’s interesting to be educated and
\nthen seeing all the at-home remedies on the
\ninternet that are really so bad for your skin. For
\nexample, lemon juice on the face… don’t do it.
\nDon’t do it,” said Gray.<\/p>\n

“This work is my calling. It grew from a hobby
\ninto a career. After graduating, I started out
\nworking in a spa environment, but felt restricted.
\nIt’s been freeing to work on my own and find
\nmy own clientele. It’s been a challenge–but it’s
\na great challenge,” said Gray.<\/p>\n

“Each time I have a client, I give them all of
\nmy knowledge, all of my best. Watching them
\nwalk out looking like they are floating on a
\ncloud, it’s very fulfilling,” she said.<\/p>\n

Gray practices in Saratoga Springs. She
\ngrew up in the Berkshires. She fell in love with
\nSaratoga Springs during regular visits with her
\nparents as a youth.
\n“The fact that I’m one person and not a whole
\nbunch of people in a large facility, it brings
\nindividuality to the process. I go above and
\nbeyond to meet my client’s needs. I work with
\na lot of different skin types,” Gray said.<\/p>\n

Gray recalls her own struggle with adult acne.
\n“My personal experience sets me apart in the
\nindustry. I struggled with major adult acne. I’m
\ntalking about cystic welts across the face. It can
\nbe caused by a lot of things, including stress,
\nbut I have learned through my knowledge to
\ncontrol it. So when I get a client who struggles
\nwith any skin condition, I can understand what
\nit feels like every day to show your face to the
\npublic. It really affects your self-esteem. I believe
\nI can help anyone get through any skin issue.
\nI’ve seen it with my own clients and walked
\nthrough it myself.”<\/p>\n

“We all tend to put other people, or work,
\nor the craziness of life, ahead of ourselves.
\nIt’s important to take time for ourselves and
\nsay, ‘I’m going to take an hour out of this day
\nand make myself a priority, and let someone
\nelse treat my skin’. There’s something about a
\nfacial–I treat the face and then do a neck and
\nshoulder massage. To get that whole shoulder,
\nneck and face area treated releases so much
\ntension,” stated Gray.<\/p>\n

“My primary goal with a client is to get
\nglowing skin. The best skin care investment
\nbesides a cleanser is a Vitamin C serum. That is
\nwhat I have all of my clients using to get their
\nskin glowing. One of the greatest benefits of
\na facial, if done regularly, is that it stimulates
\ncollagen and elastic production. It changes the
\nskin tremendously if done regularly through the
\nworking of the muscles, especially around the
\njawline. It helps the blood circulation. The skin
\ncare line I use have such a high concentration,
\nthe ingredients penetrate to the live tissue of the
\nskin and affect the outer appearance of the skin,”
\nGray stated. Gray uses the IMAGE skincare line.<\/p>\n

Gray is available by appointment, and typical
\nhours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7
\np.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/p>\n

Radiance Skincare by Rebecca is located
