Long-time Gansevoort restaurant Post Time Deli
\nand Catering is under new ownership. Husband and
\nwife Bernard and Suzanne Pratt, along with their
\nson Thomas MacDonald, assumed ownership of
\nthe deli in May under the company TogaTown Inc.<\/p>\n

The eatery, located at 654 Saratoga Road in
\nGansevoort, has operated under several names,
\nopening in 1984 as Cannone’s Deli. Eventually the
\nKelley family took over the business and it was
\nrenamed to Kelley’s Deli. The business switched
\nhands again in 2009 and the name was changed
\nto Post Time Deli and Catering.<\/p>\n

The Pratts have been coming to the establishment
\nfor several years and for them, being owners of
\nthis restaurant brings back memories of family
\nand friends.<\/p>\n

“We’ve come here since it’s been Kelley’s,” said
\nSuzanne Pratt. “We would eat here or take out. The
\nbreakfast sandwiches were very popular for us to
\ncome in and order when we were running around
\nwith the boys … This is our hometown, this is our
\nneighborhood.”<\/p>\n

“I love coming to work every day with my family. It’s something to pass on to future generations,”
\nshe said.
\nThe Pratts want to bring the deli back to how it
\noperated as Kelley’s Deli. They believe that was the
\nheight of its success and how so many customers
\nknew and loved it … The feeling you get when you
\nwalk into your own kitchen. I couldn’t see it being
\nanything else.”<\/p>\n

Breakfast sandwiches are one of the most popular
\nitems on the menu, she said. Customers can get
\nsandwiches with egg, cheese, and meat. One of
\nthe items is a “heart attack sandwich,” consisting
\nof two eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, and sausage, all
\non a hard roll.<\/p>\n

Post Time also offers catering. They cater for a
\nwide variety of occasions, from trackside parties to
\nbackyard barbecues, to family reunions to bridal
\nshowers. Available items include sandwiches, salads,
\nhot items such as sausage and peppers, chicken
\nfingers, French fries and more.<\/p>\n

Hours are Monday through Wednesday, 7 a.m. to
\n4 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.;
\nand Sunday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information,
