Samuel Gonzalez had been working for several
\nyears as a law enforcement officer for the
\nSchenectady Police Department. He worked
\nlong hours and did not have time to shop for
\nclothes on his days off. He decided to create a
\nclothing subscription service that would make
\nputting together an attractive outfit “a cinch.”<\/p>\n

Cinch Club was started as an online subscription
\nservice for men in 2014. Men create
\na style profile on the website, where they enter
\ntheir style information, what brands they like,
\nwhat their budget is, and their sizes.<\/p>\n

In July, Cinch Men’s Wear LLC opened
\na storefront at 517 Broadway in Saratoga
\nSprings. “We recognize that some people are hesitant
\nabout online shopping,” said Gonzalez. “So we
\nopened a storefront where they could come in
\nand try the clothes.”<\/p>\n

The boutique shop offers a space for men
\nto sample designer labels and meet with a
\nwardrobe stylist.
\n“We intentionally have a small space,” said
\nGonzalez. “It’s very intimate here.”<\/p>\n

He said men can become overwhelmed in
\nlarge, big box men’s clothing stores. A small
\nshop allows men to shop with ease and personalized
\nattention.
\n“There are so many women’s options in
\nSaratoga Springs. People were very excited to
\nhave a men’s clothing option,” he noted.<\/p>\n

Cinch Men’s Wear offers suiting options for
\nmen. On Mondays, the boutique is open by appointment
\nonly so that men can come in and
\nbe fitted for a suit or tuxedo for an upcoming
\nevent. Gonzalez is considering expansion into
\nwomen’s and children’s clothing in the future.
\nThey are also considering opening stores in
\nother cities.<\/p>\n

Online, clients choose between a monthly or
\non-demand service. With on-demand, customers
\nreceive clothes only when they want them.<\/p>\n

The monthly service delivers clothes every
\nmonth. The stylists will put together an outfit
\nbased on the needs of the customer. The customer
\nreceives an email depicting the contents
\nof the box, so they can approve the outfit before
\nit is shipped. Once the clothes have arrived, the
\ncustomer has 10 days to try on the clothes and
\nreturn them. The client is not charged until
\nafter they have received the clothes.<\/p>\n

The clothes arrive in a cardboard box,
\noutfitted with a handle to resemble a men’s
\nsuitcase. Inside are the clothes requested, plus
\na return envelope. If the client is not satisfied,
\nthey can return them by scheduling a package
\npickup at their house.<\/p>\n

The business does not charge a styling fee.
\nMen who sign up with the company can skip
\nas many months as they would like without
\nbeing charged.<\/p>\n

Clothes that Cinch Club ships include shirts,
\nchinos, blazers, belts, shoes, tuxedos and more.
\nBrands include 34 Heritage, Maceoo, Mavi, Big
\nStar, J Shoes, and more.<\/p>\n

The company ships to customers all across
\nthe U.S. and Canada, as well as military personnel
\noverseas.<\/p>\n

People can subscribe to the online service
\nat www.cinchmenswear.com.
\nThe Broadway store is open Tuesday
\nthrough Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday
\nfrom 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Sunday from 10 a.m.
\nto 6 p.m.; and Mondays by appointment only.
