A 14,000-square-foot warehouse storage
\nproject is under way at the Geyser Road location
\nof Saratoga Spring Water Co.<\/p>\n
A.C. Madkour, president of the company,
\nsaid the project will give the business more
\nstorage space to house its inventory.<\/p>\n
The project has been in the works for the
\nbetter part of the year, going through the permitting
\nprocess.<\/p>\n
General contracting is being done in-house,
\nwith plan engineer Nick Pone doing all research,
\nmaking contacts and getting quotes.
\nThe building and property are owned by the
\ncompany.<\/p>\n
“The permitting has been a big hurdle as
\nfar as timing and getting things approved, and
\ngetting all the ducks in a row so we can break
\nground,” said Madkour.<\/p>\n
Groundbreaking was pushed out to the
\nspring of 2016 because of weather and an arduous
\npermitting process. Madkour hopes to
\nhave the project completed by the fall of 2016.<\/p>\n
“We’re hoping it’s a spring board to smooth
\nout operations and help us gauge future growth
\nneeds,” Madkour said.<\/p>\n
“One of the biggest reasons the business
\nhas dictated that we needed to expand our
\nstorage space is the push we’ve been making
\nin the retail avenue. We’ve been expanding into
\ngrocery chains across the country right now.
\nHopefully, the Saratoga blue bottle will become
\na household fixture very soon,” said Madkour.<\/p>\n
