I Love NY Pizza has opened a new location
\nin Congress Plaza, at 26E Congress St.<\/p>\n

This location follows many other I Love NY
\nPizza locations in the area, including Ballston
\nSpa, Glens Falls, Albany, Schenectady and Troy.
\nAll are independently owned.<\/p>\n

Owner George Camaj and his cousin Pietro
\nVukelj were born and raised in Albania in
\neastern Europe. In 1996 they moved from
\nAlbania to New York City. It was their dream
\nto run restaurants in the United States. For
\nseveral years they operated pizza shops in
\nNew York City.<\/p>\n

The cousins took a trip to visit family that
\nlived in Troy and fell in love with Upstate
\nNew York.<\/p>\n

“I came to visit family and I liked it,” said
\nVukelj. “I liked the culture. It was more like
\nhome. It was a better place to raise kids and
\nraise a family.”<\/p>\n

Soon the cousins moved their businesses up
\nto the Capital Region. Over the years, they have
\nslowly expanded the I Love NY Pizza chain,
\nwith different members of the family owning
\nand operating locations throughout the area.<\/p>\n

Camaj wanted to open a Saratoga Springs
\nlocation to be closer to his own family.<\/p>\n

I Love NY Pizza has many different pies to
\nchoose from, including specialties such as the
\ntomato bacon ranch pizza, a broccoli ricotta
\npizza, and a Philly steak pizza. The restaurant
\nalso serves many gourmet dinners such as
\nchicken marsala, chicken piccata, linguini with
\nclams, and more. A variety of paninis, quesadillas,
\ncalzones, hot and cold sandwiches, salads
\nand appetizers round out the menu.<\/p>\n

When asked to name a favorite dish, Vukelj
\ncould not think of just one.<\/p>\n

“Everything is my favorite,” he said. “Because
\nif I don’t like it, I would not serve it to you.”<\/p>\n

The family at I Love NY Pizza has years of
\nexperience in the pizza industry. “Our quality
\nfood sets us apart,” said Vukelj. “We have been
\nin this business a long time. We have a family
\nrecipe. Everything is freshly made here. Nothing
\nis frozen.”<\/p>\n

“Many people see other people opening up
\npizza shops, and they think ‘Oh, if he can do
\nit, so can I.’ And they get in and get out very
\nquickly. The pizza business is very difficult.
\nBut I love it. If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t be
\nhere” said Vukelj.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is also able to cater for any
\nevent. I Love NY Pizza can cater conferences
\nand meetings at offices, as well as birthday
\nparties, anniversaries, graduations and more.
\nThe restaurant can provide pizzas, wings, appetizers,
\nsubs and more.<\/p>\n

I Love NY Pizza is open Monday through
\nSaturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; closed on
