Sean Andrews, a former YMCA official in
\nNew York City, is the new CEO of the local Y.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Saratoga Regional YMCA Board of Directors
\nnamed Sean Andrews, formerly of the YMCA
\nof Greater New York, the organization’s chief
\nexecutive officer.<\/p>\n

The unanimous decision was reached after a
\ncomprehensive, volunteer-led national search by
\nthe Saratoga Regional YMCA CEO Search Committee
\ncomposed of board of directors and board
\nof trustees, officials said.<\/p>\n

He begins his tenure on Dec. 15.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled and excited that Sean will be
\nat the helm of the Saratoga Regional YMCA as
\nwe enter our 150th year of service to the broader
\nSaratoga community,” said Jason MacGregor,
\npresident of the Saratoga Regional YMCA board
\nof directors.<\/p>\n


\n“While dozens of talented individuals were
\ninterested in joining our team, Sean’s unique
\ncapabilities and 15-year experience within the
\nY organization made him stand out. His demonstrated
\ncommitment to community, the Y’s
\nmissions and development of creative, quality
\nprogramming made Sean the ideal choice,” said
\nMacGregor.<\/p>\n

MacGregor had served as vice president of
\nyouth development for the YMCA of Greater New
\nYork since 2012. He pursued numerous service
\nexpansion opportunities and supervised a portfolio
\nof educational and youth-oriented programs,
\nincluding the major strategic initiatives, Y Roads
\nand Y Schools.<\/p>\n

Officials said he also oversaw the city-wide New
\nAmerican Welcome Center program, serving over
\n10,000 immigrants. Prior to that, as vice president
\nof operations, he directed seven Brooklyn YMCA
\nbranches with a combined workforce of 1,000 individuals
\nservicing 100,000 community members.<\/p>\n

MacGregor completed a Bachelor of Arts degree,
\nwith honors, from Bates College in Lewiston,
\nMaine, and a Masters in Public Administration
