\nSpadaro<\/strong>, a senior
\nvaluation analyst in
\nthe firm’s valuation
\nand advisory services
\ngroup, has been awarded
\nthe CFA credential.<\/p>\n

Spadaro, who has
\nworked at TBC since
\nJuly of 2015, is a licensed certified public
\naccountant who earned both his masters and
\nbachelors degrees in accounting from Bentley
\nUniversity. He provides business valuation
\nand litigation support services for a variety of
\npurposes including, but not limited to, buy-sell
\ntransactions, succession planning, estate and
\ngift tax filings, matrimonial dissolutions, and
\nshareholder disputes.<\/p>\n

In earning the CFA charter, Spadaro successfully
\npassed three levels of exams and
\nfulfilled specific education and experience
\nrequirements. The designation is the globally
\nrecognized mark of distinction and benchmark
\nfor measuring the expertise, experience,
\nand ethics of serious investment professionals.<\/p>\n

Scott Grimmett<\/strong> was named CEO of Golub
\nCorp., the owner of the Price Chopper supermarket
\nchain, taking
\nover for Jerry Golub.<\/p>\n

Grimmett has led
\nthe transformation of
\nPrice Chopper to the
\nMarket 32 brand, a
\nmulti-year strategy
\ndesigned to keep the
\nchain competitive.<\/p>\n

Grimmett was
\nnamed company president
\nlast year, becoming the first person in that
\nrole who isn’t a member of the Golub family.<\/p>\n

He will be responsible for day-to-day operations
\nand influence the strategic direction of
\nthe company. He will report to the board of
\ndirectors through Neil Golub, who remains
\nexecutive chairman.<\/p>\n

With the designation,
\nCurtiss elevates

\nShe will take part in future development

Curtiss is the on-set consultant for NBC
\ntelevision affiliate WNYT in Albany and for

\nnail technology, makeup, massage therapy,

Merodie A. Hancock<\/strong>, president of SUNY
\nEmpire State College, joined the United Way of
\nthe Greater Capital Region board of directors.<\/p>\n

Hancock will be responsible for promoting
\nand guiding United Way of the Greater
\nCapital Region as it works to improve lives
\nand advance the common good.<\/p>\n

Hancock served on the board of United Way
\nof Isabella County, Mich., during the time she
\nwas the vice president at Central Michigan
\nUniversity Global Campus.<\/p>\n

SaxBST announced the following additions
\nto its Albany office:<\/p>\n

James Cole<\/strong>, CPA rejoins the firm as a partner
\nin the tax department. He returns after
\ntwo years with a Boston area firm, and over
\n18 years with SaxBST’s legacy firm Bollam,
\nSheedy Torani & Co. (BST)<\/p>\n

Dawn Doherty<\/strong>, CPA, also rejoins the firm
\nas a partner in the tax department. She previously
\nserved as a senior manager with BST

Durant, a graduate

\nof marketing and sales at East Bay Manor in
\nEast Providence and executive director of
\nGreenwich Bay Manor in East Greenwich.<\/p>\n

Upon returning to the Capital Region,
\nDurant worked as executive director of the
\nCrossings at Saratoga Springs, director at
\nAvila Retirement Community in Albany and
\ndirector at Woodlawn Retirement Community
\nin Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

Markham, 33, has
\na combined 15 years

\ncorporate and U.S. military experience, and
\npreviously served as the chief information officer
\nfor Florida State College at Jacksonville’s
\nDepartment of College Information Technology
\nServices.<\/p>\n

At SUNY Empire, Markham’s responsibilities
\nencompass envisioning, planning, implementing
\nand maintaining technology related to the
\nsupport and education of the college’s 20,000
\ngraduate, nursing, undergraduate, international,
\nveteran and military students learning through
\nindividual independent study, face to face in
\nlarge and small groups, online and through a
\nblend of all modes of learning.<\/p>\n

On a day-to-day basis, he will oversee and
\nmanage all aspects of the ITS educational and
\nemerging technology and user technical-support
\ngroups, in providing quality assurance and
\nenhanced performance for technical support
\nservices for students, faculty and staff.<\/p>\n

Markham also will serve as liaison between
\nthe college and SUNY’s system-wide comprehensive
\ncollege CIO committee.<\/p>\n

Saratoga Casino and Raceway announced
\nthat Kim Hodge<\/strong> has joined the team as assistant
\ndirector of hotel operations. In her
\nnew role, Hodge will oversee operations and
\nspecialize in sales for Saratoga Casino and
\nRaceway’s new hotel.<\/p>\n

Hodge brings over 20 years of experience
\nin the hospitality industry. She was previously
\nemployed locally by the Desmond, the
\nGideon Putnam and Best Western.<\/p>\n

A job fair for additional positions at the
\nhotel is being planned for this spring. The
\n117-room hotel at Saratoga Casino and
