The LA Group, Landscape Architecture and
\nEngineering PC announced the acquisition of
\nHMH Site & Sports Design in Ithaca.<\/p>\n
The expansion brings a new office in Ithaca,
\nsix new staff members, and an increased focus
\non resorts and recreation, including a niche in
\nathletic fields, the company said.<\/p>\n
Founded in 1974, The LA Group is a 46-person
\nlandscape architecture and engineering
\nfirm based in Saratoga Springs. It’s built a
\nregional and national reputation working for
\nthe Veterans Administration, the National
\nPark Service, developers and municipalities
\nfor urban revitalization and clients such as the
\nLuther Forest Technology Campus in Malta.<\/p>\n
HMH was founded in 2005 as a boutique
\nfirm specializing in athletic facilities. Over
\nthe past 10 years, it has worked on projects
\nfor Farmingdale State College, SUNY Cortland,
\nBinghamton University, and the Niagara Falls
\nCity School District, among others.<\/p>\n
