The Saratoga Home & Lifestyle Show, the
\nSaratoga Springs Rotary Club’s largest annual
\nfundraiser since 1973, will take place Feb. 26-28
\nat the Saratoga Springs City Center.<\/p>\n
New this year, admission to the show is free
\nof charge, courtesy of the its major sponsor, the
\nAdirondack Trust Co.<\/p>\n
Also new for 2016, the Rotary Club will host
\na Fine Art & Crafts Show on the second floor
\nof the City Center, concurrent with the Home
\n& Lifestyle Show. The second floor will have
\nartisans such as painters, photographers, wood
\ncrafters, sculptors, jewelers, botanical artists,
\nand wine and spirits makers selling their work.
\nAlso on display will be artwork from Saratoga
\nSprings High School students.<\/p>\n
The Home & Lifestyle event features 120
\nregional exhibitors showcasing a wide range
\nof home improvement services, d\u00e9cor and
\nfurnishings, energy-saving products, outdoor
\nliving and landscaping, family recreation, and
\nlifestyle products and services, as well as prizes.<\/p>\n
\nIn addition to exhibits, the show will feature
\nspecial events and activities including
\na Saratoga Springs Police Department child
\nsafety booth issuing ID cards; kids activities
\nwith balloons and face painting (Sunday, noon-
\n3 p.m.); hourly prize drawings throughout the
\nevent; cooking demonstrations by Forno Bistro
\n(Saturday at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.); and pet
\nadoption with H.O.P.E. (Saturday 3:30-6:30
\np.m.).<\/p>\n
The club said it expects to raise close to
\n$100,000 from the event, with proceeds being
\ndistributed to community organizations, youth
\nscholarships, and international humanitarian
\nprojects.<\/p>\n
The Rotary booth on the main floor will have
\ninformation about the club's scholarship and
\ncharitable donation programs.<\/p>\n
High school seniors attending Saratoga
\nSprings High School, Saratoga Catholic High
\nSchool and the Waldorf School are eligible to
\napply for scholarships, with applications due by
\nApril 15. The club's charitable giving programs
\ninclude monthly contributions of under $5,000
\nto numerous non-profits as well as an annual
\nmajor gift of $5,000 or more, with applications
\nfor major gifts due by April 1 this year.<\/p>\n

\nBuilding Supply (door prizes); Phillips Home
\nSolutions (major prize); Granite & Marble
\nWorks (supporting sponsor); The Saratogian<\/em>
\n(advertising); Saratoga Today<\/em> (magazine), and
\nEdward Jones Financial (exhibitor hospitality).<\/p>\n
\n5-9 p.m.; Saturday, Feb. 27, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and
\nSunday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
