Stored Technology Solutions Inc.

(StoredTech), a provider of IT managed services,

has launched unlimited data backup

plans for business customers.

Company officials said that instead of the

standard way of charging backup services per

gigabyte of data, it now offers unlimited safe

and secure cloud backup to businesses for $99

per server, per month, or $49 per workstation

per month.

The company said the departure from the

standard pricing model is, in-part, a response

to “an unsettling trend that’s emerged whereby

price-conscience businesses will often put some

of their data at risk by being selective about

which business data they backup” in an attempt

to save some cost.

“This leaves them less than 100 percent

protected from data loss scenarios that could

put their entire business in jeopardy,” said a

company statement.

“Businesses will often let this standard pricing

model of per-gig affect what they choose

to backup,” said StoredTech President and

CEO Mark Shaw. “This is particularly true with

the SMB market where businesses need to be

more frugal. We want our customers to be able

to backup all of their data in order to provide their businesses with true disaster recovery and

peace of mind.”

According to Shaw, more than half of SMBs

surveyed admit to not performing daily backups.

“The reality is that data and data backup

are critical in today’s business environment.

Businesses of every size need to start thinking

of data protection more like homeowners

insurance, you may hate paying the monthly

bill, but if your home were to suffer a fire, you’d

be thankful that the insurance is there to help

you. Backup is the most important, efficient

and cost effective way to protect yourself from

a data loss that could put your entire business

in jeopardy. It’s not just for the big companies

to worry about anymore.”

He said StoredTech’s pricing is not just for

future customers. The company has enrolled

its existing customers as well, saving some

hundreds of dollars per month.

SheetLabels.com has been a StoredTech

customer since 2008. As an international

provider of blank and custom printed labels,

SheetLabels.com relies heavily on ecommerce

and requires strong backend management and

redundancies to keep their operations running

smoothly.

“Our data is extremely important to us and I

wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if it were not

100 percent protected,” said Adam Gray, president

of SheetLabels.com. “We were shocked and

delighted when StoredTech contacted us recently

to let us know about their new unlimited

data backup plans. The unlimited vaulting will

save us approximately $400-$600 a month from

our previous plan, for a total annual reduction

of somewhere around 75 percent.”

StoredTech offers a portfolio of voice, data,

and video services and equipment. It specializes

in integrated solutions to help businesses take

advantage of the newest technologies available

in telecommunications and information

technology.
