{"id":28649,"date":"2013-08-06T22:00:34","date_gmt":"2013-08-07T02:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2013\/08\/several-thousand-dollars-raised-at-fifth-annual-taste-of-malta-event.html"},"modified":"2017-11-08T13:54:39","modified_gmt":"2017-11-08T18:54:39","slug":"several-thousand-dollars-raised-at-fifth-annual-taste-of-malta-event","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2013\/08\/several-thousand-dollars-raised-at-fifth-annual-taste-of-malta-event\/","title":{"rendered":"Several Thousand Dollars Raised at Fifth Annual Taste of Malta Event"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>The Malta Business &amp; Professional<br \/>\nAssociation<\/b> recently hosted the fifth annual<br \/>\nTaste of Malta at Hudson Valley Community<br \/>\nCollege&#8217;s TEC-SMART.<\/p>\n<p>The evening featured a variety of Malta area<br \/>\nrestaurants who served samples of their best<br \/>\nfare to over 300 people at this year&#8217;s event.<br \/>\nDuring the past three years, proceeds from the<br \/>\nevent have been donated to the Ballston Spa<br \/>\nCentral School District&#8217;s to support educational<br \/>\nenrichment programs and initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurants participating this year included Lake Ridge, Panza&#8217;s, Pasta Pane, Recovery Sports Grill, The Meat House, Bentley&#8217;s Tavern, Strata Wine Bar Food, Kona Ice, Mangino&#8217;s Ristorante, Lily and the Rose Catering, Sunset Cafe , Villago Village Pizzeria, Dickey&#8217;s Barbecue Pit, Blu Tea Company, Berrylicious Bouquets, and Pellgrino Importing.<\/p>\n<p>Several thousand dollars were raised from the event for the Ballston Spa Partnership for Innovation in Education Fund, a component fund of the Community Foundation for the Greater Capital Region. The funding will be used to support students enrolled in the Clean Technologies &amp; Sustainable Industries Early College High School, implemented in partnership with Hudson Valley Community College and NYSERDA.<\/p>\n<div>Corporate sponsors included Ballston Spa National Bank, The Adirondack Trust Co., C.T.
