{"id":28830,"date":"2016-12-09T02:10:19","date_gmt":"2016-12-09T02:10:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/?p=28830"},"modified":"2016-12-13T01:04:30","modified_gmt":"2016-12-13T01:04:30","slug":"saratoga-performing-arts-center-special-ticket-offerings-holiday-season","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.saratoga.com\/saratogabusinessjournal\/2016\/12\/saratoga-performing-arts-center-special-ticket-offerings-holiday-season\/","title":{"rendered":"Saratoga Performing Arts Center Has Special Ticket Offerings During The Holiday Season"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Saratoga Performing Arts Center is offering its 2016 holiday collection ticket specials in time for holiday gift giving. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Available through Thursday, Dec. 22, the collection includes a classical season lawn pass for all performances of New York City Ballet and The Philadelphia Orchestra, a new flex ticket option for the Freihofer\u2019s Saratoga Jazz Festival and a holiday gift subscription to Opera Saratoga.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">To mark the holiday sale, SPAC\u2019s new President and CEO Elizabeth Sobol invites audiences to join her at the Hall of Springs Box Office on Saturday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Holiday Collection packages may be purchased in-person that day.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAudience support for SPAC\u2019s 50th anniversary was remarkable, so now we hope to give back with these special holiday offers,\u201d said Sobol. \u201cAnd we are thrilled to include our partner organization, Opera Saratoga, in our Holiday Collection offerings for the first time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The classical season lawn pass includes lawn admission to all 2017 performances by New York City Ballet, July 5-15, and the Philadelphia Orchestra, Aug. 2-19. Highlighting The Philadelphia Orchestra\u2019s three-week season will be the return of lauded maestros St\u00e9phane Den\u00e8ve, Marin Alsop and music director Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin. The Pass also includes the option to upgrade five lawn tickets to amphitheater seats for just $5. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The flex lawn ticket to the Freihofer\u2019s Saratoga Jazz Festival, June 24-25, allows guests the opportunity to take advantage of the Holiday Collection without having to commit attendance at either day of the festival. The flex ticket will be available for $50 (one-day lawn passes are typically $65) and can be used on either day of the Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Opera Saratoga\u2019s 2017 Season, July 1-16, includes three operas: Verdi\u2019s comic \u201cFalstaff;\u201d \u201cZ\u00e9mire et Azor\u201d by Gr\u00e9try, one of Mozart\u2019s favorite composers; and a special 80th anniversary production of Blitzstein\u2019s \u201cThe Cradle Will Rock,\u201d which premiered on Broadway in 1937.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Gift Certificates to Saratoga Performing Arts Center\u2019s classical season performances, including the Freihofer\u2019s Saratoga Jazz Festival, New York City Ballet, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, The Saratoga Wine and Food Festival, and other special engagement performances, are available in any denomination. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">All Holiday Collection offerings may be purchased online at www.spac.org\/holiday-collection or over the phone at 584-9330 through Thursday, Dec. 22.
