The highest compliment to a business owner just may be relocating to another state and having some employees pick up their lives and come along.<\/p>\n

Scott Brankman and Emily Farnsworth-Brankman left the restaurant they owned in Boston when they learned of an opportunity to set up shop in Saratoga Springs. With them, came three employees. The couple and their former employees can be found at the newly established Braeburn Tavern which opened in May at 390 Broadway.<\/p>\n

Farnsworth-Brankman said she and her husband, who is a chef, feel they have a perfect spot. When learning of the chance to be downtown, they were thrilled.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is just so great having a business in Saratoga. We could not be happier,\u201d said Farnsworth-Brankman.<\/p>\n

The Braeburn Tavern is the located in the\u00a0 <\/span>former home of the Crown Grill.<\/p>\n

The restaurant is open for dinner every day and for lunch and dinner Friday through Sunday. They can seat up 130 inside and some outdoor seating.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have been great. They love our take on pub food and of course they love the cocktails,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The restaurant will be centered around using what is local and in season. The menu offers American cuisine with influences from New York to the west coast. The bar has eight New York state craft beers and local ciders, along with canned and bottled beer from across the Northeast. In addition to burgers, steaks and pasta, Farnsworth-Brankman said they like taking a classic bar food, like nachos, and putting a different spinning on it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you walk in, you can expect a twist. Instead of just traditional nachos, we have duck nachos. Instead of just buffalo wings, we also have buffalo cauliflower, things like that. As for drinks, our cocktails feature homemade syrups and great purees,\u201d said Farnsworth-Brankman.<\/p>\n
