It will have retail on the first floor and apartments above.<br \/>Courtesy Windsor Development Group<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p class=\"p1\">By Jennifer Farnsworth<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The building up of Malta\u2019s town center is continuing, aided by a project being done by Windsor Development Group of Clifton Park. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The company is planning a large development that will be in the heart of the town center, featuring a eateries, retail space and apartments\u2014all in an area that residents can walk to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The property will be located in Clifton Park, in front of the Village Plaza shopping center, with an address of <span class=\"__postbox-detected-content __postbox-detected-date\">11-15<\/span> Clifton Country Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Bob Miller Sr., CEO of Windsor, a real estate development and professional property management firm, said the space was an immediate draw to him because it coincides with Malta\u2019s vision for a town center that will draw people in. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThe goal is to bring people into the center, this is definitely a project that will help to accomplish that,\u201d said Miller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Miller said there are two separate properties that are part of the project, and Windsor Development will be tackling one at a time. The project calls for a 7,100-square-foot building and a four-story. 60,000-square-foot building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\"><!--more-->\u201cWe will be starting construction on the smaller building first and then move to the second building.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It is anticipated that the smaller building will be completed by the end of the year and the larger building completed and ready for occupancy in summer 2018,\u201d said Miller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">He said the smaller building is already leased to two tenants: Blaze Pizza, a national pizza chain, and Corelife Eatery. Blaze Pizza also has a location in Mohawk Commons in Niskayuna.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">The larger building will have 15,000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor and 36 apartments spread over the second, third and fourth floors.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cWe have interest in this space, but no leases signed yet,\u201d said Miller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">In total, Miller owns over 46 acres in that area and he is investigating the possibility of building a hotel, apartment buildings and additional retail space. He said he plans to build in the area one step at a time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAgain, it\u2019s all about the goal of having a real town center for the community,\u201d said Miller.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Windsor Companies is also responsible for major development plazas such as Shopper\u2019s World In Clifton Park, Village Plaza and The Shops at Village Plaza, also in Clifton Park.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Jennifer Farnsworth The building up of Malta\u2019s town center is continuing, aided by a project being done by Windsor Development Group of Clifton Park.
