Fingerpaint Marketing recently acquired One Franklin Square, a Greek revival-style\u00a0 property located in the historic Franklin Square district of Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

The property will be used to provide a special benefit for employees as its staff grows\u2014housing. Employees will be able the use the apartments and there will also be additional office space. It is located a few blocks east of Fingerpaint.<\/p>\n

Ed Mitzen, founder of the agency, has seen the exponential growth of the company. The company, at the corner of Division Street and Broadway, has been named to the Inc. 5000 Fastest Growing Companies list for the past five years. The company said it generated $30 million in sales last year and is projecting $46 million this year.<\/p>\n

This expansion has required them to develop a long-term strategy for their company, according to Mitzen.<\/p>\n

Job candidates from all over the United States apply to become a part of the Fingerpaint Marketing team, he said. The company\u00a0 recently hired people from New York City and Ohio. These new hires will be relocating to the Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

Mitzen and his staff understand how difficult it can be to relocate to a new area.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople have many different, individual things that they are looking for when they are looking to relocate,\u201d he said.\u00a0 One Franklin Square was purchased as a way to help ease the transition for new hires.<\/p>\n

The property was purchased for $1 million. The building is approximately 5,000 square feet.<\/p>\n

The three-story building consists of four luxury apartments. The company plans to temporarily house new hires until they can find housing in the area. This can help mitigate any fears a new employee may have about moving to a completely different area of the country and having to find housing.<\/p>\n

All of the apartments within the building are fully furnished, complete with a living room, full kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and more. Two are already occupied by new hires, said Mitzen.<\/p>\n

He sees the apartments as one additional perk of working for the company.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like to ask myself \u2018How can we help people that are here?\u2019 This is going to add one more layer to our commitment to our staff. Even though we are growing, we will never forget how we got here. We are always going to be grateful for our staff,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile Saratoga Springs is a bustling city, it has a small town vibe. There are local mom-and-pop shops everywhere. I love how philanthropic everybody is and how we all give back to each other.\u201d<\/p>\n

Staff comes from cities such as Albany, Troy and Scotia to get to work. They can be seen from Broadway, through the large illuminated windows, working at their desks all hours of the day.\u00a0 It is his hope that the apartments can also be used for staff members in case of inclement weather, or in the instance they end up at the office too late at night, said Mitzen.<\/p>\n

Fingerpaint Marketing plans to turn the first floor of the building into office space for conferences and presentations. Staff will be able to go there to work on projects.<\/p>\n

One feature of the property is a small courtyard in the back.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe property has a lot of utility for us,\u201d said Mitzen.<\/p>\n

Franklin Square was named after Benjamin Franklin. The Victorian Railroad Station previously occupied the area. Today the historic district is filled with architecturally prominent buildings. One Franklin Square, built in the 1830s, is an example of the Greek Revival style with its Doric columns and classic pediment.<\/p>\n

Fingerpaint Marketing is a full service marketing and advertising agency. They handle all parts of the marketing process, from digital, social media, public relations, branding and more.
