Erika Gallagher said after 14 years as a business owner she knew it was time to make a move. She and co-owner Denise Palumbo felt in order to be able to showcase all that they do at Plum & Crimson fine interior design, a new location was a must.<\/p>\n
They decided to make a move from Spring Street in Saratoga Springs to 51 Ash St.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe location we have now is on a corner in the arts district (Beekman Street), so we feel like we fit right in. The space works well with our needs. We were looking to own and no longer rent, and this came along,\u201d said Gallagher.<\/p>\n

Gallagher said the most important aspect is that the new space allows them to showcase the furniture lines they have available\u2014something that she said was extremely important.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe aren\u2019t sure that people know we actually sell custom-made furniture. The new location should help in changing that misconception,\u201d she said. \u201cPeople may know we do interior design, but the furniture component is really important too, something we want the public to know about.\u201d<\/p>\n
While their core services of interior design have not changed over the years, the depth of their production section has continued to grow an evolve.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are so much more technologically advanced. We have a huge library of upholstery options, custom furniture, wood grain options, and special-order pieces,\u201d said Gallagher.<\/p>\n
She said the new showroom benefits from a good supply of natural light and also has space for customers to try out furniture pieces. They can choose their own fabric, colors and textures.<\/p>\n
