Campbell<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">EXIT Realty Empire Associates opened in December at 805 Route 146 in Clifton Park.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">Co-owner John DiBlasi has served the upstate residential real estate market since 1999, most recently as founder of DiBlasi Real Estate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cMy license number is 7102, and now the numbers are in the 30,000s in New York,\u201d he said of the growing number of real estate agents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">DiBlasi was being courted by several franchises and saw buying into EXIT Realty as an excellent opportunity to partner with Jennifer Vucetic\u00a0in the business. Vucetic has been a real estate agent for 14 years, most recently as a broker with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Tech Valley. The Greater Capital Region Association of Realtors named her Realtor of the Year in 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cJenn and I have had a working relationship for many years,\u201d said DiBlasi.\u00a0 \u201cWe are combining our technical knowledge and people skills into a new venture.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">They also combine a common philosophy that is a good match with EXIT Realty, which claims to be \u201crevolutionizing our industry by fostering a mentorship culture of teaching, training and coaching,\u201d according to the corporate website.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThis is a service position,\u201d said DiBlasi. \u201cWe do whatever we can to make sure the client is well informed. First and foremost, we are educators.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">That means not only educating clients, but also the agents who join the firm.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cI try to train new agents, help them cut their teeth so to speak, until they become comfortable,\u201d he said. \u201cOur goal is to help all our agents become successful.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">There are nine agents in-house, five of which came over from DiBlasi Real Estate, he said. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThis firm offers tools for every agent, from rookie to veteran, to brand and market oneself and to service clients in a better manner,\u201d said DiBlasi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">A key tool is EXIT\u2019s single-level residual system of compensation, whereby an agent can earn 10 percent of the earnings of the agents he or she brings into the company. The ongoing income stream this arrangement provides can help agents meet their income goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cThis is a percentage, not a flat fee like $500 per referral,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are saying to each agent that their success is our success, so each agent has the incentive to help one another.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cEXIT\u2019s culture of help and education motivates all of us to work hard and stay with the company,\u201d he said. \u201cAll are rewarded for making the company profitable and accumulating this type of passive income on top of residential sales commissions.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">DiBlasi expects the first few years to pose challenges, as with any start-up business. The biggest challenge today is low inventory in a slowing market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">\u201cAccording to MLS, prices and inventory are expected to climb,\u201d he said. \u201cWe just want to grow and get the word out what a good business model we are able to offer.
