The deadline to enroll in affordable health insurance coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace is fast approaching as open enrollment ends on Jan. 31. Adirondack Health Institute<\/b> is offering free enrollment assistance services to individuals, families and small business owners in Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Hamilton, Saratoga<\/b>, Warren, and Washington counties to meet the deadline and is strongly encouraging the public to make a free appointment today, rather than waiting until the last moment.<\/p>\n
Enrollment specialists provide no-cost, unbiased assistance to help clients determine their best health insurance coverage options, according to Joyce Porter, AHI\u2019s enrollment assistance services and education program manager. \u201c<\/p>\n
Individuals may call AHI\u2019s toll-free number, 1-866-872-3740, or visit www.ahihealth.org\/ease\/appointment-request to schedule a no-cost appointment with an enrollment specialist.<\/p>\n

DZ Restaurants<\/b> launched a new charitable giving program in all three of its Saratoga Springs restaurants.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In collaboration with Chatham Brewery in Chatham, the DZ Restaurant team created their own brew: Helping HanDZ Amber Ale. The beer is on tap in all three DZ Restaurant locations\u2014Chianti il Ristorante, Forno Bistro and Boca Bistro. A dollar from each pint sold will benefit a different local charity each month.<\/p>\n
For the month of January, proceeds will benefit the Albany Medical Center. The doctors, nurses and specialist staff has provided care to members of the DZ team and as well as their family and friends.<\/p>\n
Helping HanDZ, an unfiltered American amber ale, was brewed with oats and dry hopped with Chinook.<\/p>\n
DZ Restaurants is owned by David Zecchini, who in 1998 opened his first restaurant in downtown Saratoga Springs.<\/p>\n

Hannaford Supermarkets<\/b> donated $5,000 to support the various hunger relief programs at the Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council (EOC).<\/p>\n
The donation provides funding for the Saratoga County EOC\u2019s food programs, including the emergency food pantry, soup kitchen, summer youth lunch program and rural food delivery service, amongst other initiatives designed to help alleviate hunger in the community.<\/p>\n
The Saratoga County EOC is the designated anti-poverty agency for the county and is dedicated to providing and promoting opportunities for individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency. The nonprofit organization is committed to being a leader in advocating for opportunities and developing solutions to promote healthy families and caring community partners.<\/p>\n

County Waste<\/b> employees in December assembled and delivered 250 bicycles to youth organizations across the Capital Region.<\/p>\n
County Waste, a Waste Connections company in Clifton Park, has fulfilled an annual Bike Promise for 18 years. The goal of this charitable initiative is to brighten a child\u2019s holiday season with a new bicycle, in many cases the first one they\u2019ve owned.<\/p>\n
This year, the new bikes were delivered to seven local organizations: Parson\u2019s Early Learning Center, Mechanicville Area Community Center, Rosa Venerini Early Childhood Center, Ballston Area Community Center, Things of My Very Own, Troy Boys and Girls Club, and the Albany Housing Authority.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
