In June of this year, he made a change in management and renovations, which had been ongoing slowly, moved forward in earnest.<br \/>\n\u201cThings are run differently now,\u201d said Elaine Swain, the new general manager. Kemanni Gang is also part of the new management team as operations manager.<br \/>\nSwain said the team is re-focusing the hotel\u2019s upgrades and its hospitality mission while adhering to the new COVID regulations.<br \/>\nAll of the rooms underwent major renovations in 2019. They now have laminate flooring instead of carpet, which adds safety and cleanliness, two aspects of staying at a hotel that many think about today, she said.<br \/>\nOther upgrades in the guest rooms include a workspace, microwave and refrigerator. A guest laundry room was added and there are plans for the addition of a truck parking lot.<!--more--><br \/>\nTo adapt to COVID-19 regulations, the Red Roof Inn implemented a sanitization policy that includes cleaning protocols 24 hours a day. Plexiglass has been installed in certain areas and social distancing is encouraged. Guest rooms are sanitized and cleaned by staff wearing gloves and masks. Guests are required to wear masks when in public spaces.<br \/>\nFood service safety measures are in place, including individually wrapped grab-and-go food options for breakfast to ensure extra safety for guests, instead of the hot breakfast that used to be served.<br \/>\nThere is contactless check in, check out and room service.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Erin Nudi Alan Schnurman took over ownership of the Red Roof Inn in Clifton Park in 2018.
